Not content with sporting an uber-trendy haircut atop his bonce and quoting Nietzsche, Joey Barton’s transformation into a footballing Nathan Barley has taken another very cred turn, with the bad-boy picking up a Banksy at a charity auction in Kensal Green.

The piece of art, entitled “CND”, cost the QPR midfielder a cool £6,000, and will, according to Barton, “look decent in my office.”

Fair play to the guy for supporting the childrens’ charity auction and for escaping the clichéd image of the modern day footballer.  But how long before the footballing media node appears on www.trashbat.co.ck ?
