Neymar Irks Sao Paulo Defender Ivan Piris With Flouncy Stepovers, Gets Hoofed Up In Air (Video)

By Chris Wright

Santos beat Sao Paulo on their own patch at the weekend, with Neymar scoring a hat-trick to take him over the 100-goal mark for Santos (102 in 180 games) at the age of 20 and put him in third spot in the club’s all-time top scorer list.

As well as the matchball, Neymar was also given a little memento of the game by Sao Paulo defender Ivan Piris – who, having been sent hither and thither one too many times by the Santos forward’s largely superfluous stepover routine, duly ended the charade by booting him clean up in the air…

So satisfying. Everyone likes to see a cocky little swine get put on their arse once in a while. It’s universal.

Looks like Neymar has been practicing his ‘theatrical’ side of the game for his suitors Real Madrid and Barcelona..whining little bitch.

  5. Nuno says:

Using tricks isn’t cocky. Using tricks just to show off and make your opponent look bad is (tricks without purpose, only to show off). This is bad:

Neymar got what he deserved, in Europe this foul would be no more than a yellow and just comes to show that part of Neymar hype makes him so overprotected in Brasil.
That video Chris posted wasn’t even a foul, the defender got the ball, the cocky prick got what he deserved (does he expects a red carpet to do his tricks?).

  6. Nuno says:

Oh, and Chris, by god how I love that video, with Neymar flying around. Now I’m just hoping he comes across Pepe or John Terry and try to do that. It’d be a Olympic fly: double backflip with a twist.

  7. tonys says:

if the defender looks bad, i think the problem is he’s not a good defender.

I love seeing Neymar get put on his ass. One trick is cool four tricks is cocky, and that wasn’t even a foul he got the ball lol.

  9. Liam says:

Neymar should have been booked for his ridiculous reaction, seeing as he looked up at the referee before he started his act.

Wow what haters, if the defender has to resort to fouling that’s his problem not Neymar’s. People are the biggest haters of success. Should also stop with the Europe talk, he’ll eventually go he’s 20, new son, makes $600,000 a month and is enjoying himself. Remember it’s everyone else saying he’s better than this person or that person, all he’s doing is playing soccer, getting paid, and having some fun. 100% of the people on here would do the same if they had the talent.
