Team GB played Brazil’s London 2012 mob in a pre-Olympic jolly at the Riverside last night, with the South Americans winning 2-0 and putting on a dominant display of football – though, sadly, the match was overshadowed by a sickening injury to Neymar on the half-hour mark, when a horrific collision with Ryan Betrand resulted in the Brazilian forward sustaining a rupturedbrokenshatteredsevered neck…

Nasty. It’ll take a miracle if he’s going to make the Olympics after that.

You’ve got to give it to him – he certainly committed himself to the bit. We love how the physio clearly doesn’t have a clue where to apply the ice.

Neymar, eh? What a little prannet.

  3. Cosa says:

    Given the number Of times neymar goes down every day the physio should be applying the ice to his own calves

    @Cosa

    You sir have just won everything.

  5. dickcheese says:

    Wow Neymar is such a young player and probably considered to be one of the best prospects in world football, yet he’s managed to alienate everybody with his reluctance to leave Brazil and all these pathetic dives and cockyness. Tells a story about his character. Its a short story

  6. Cosa says:

    @Michael – i have won everything? i love it

  7. Epic Broportions says:

    Yep. He’ll fit in nicely at Barcelona.

  8. None says:

    The defender put his hand on the back of Neymar’s head, and appeared to pull him down. Shouldn’t Neymar have gone down?

  9. Daniel B says:

    Haha Chris. A prannet! I know he’s an odious little schmuck, but talk about kicking a man while he’s down.

  10. Cleatus says:

    Neymar goes down easier than a Thai Ladyboy…um, from what my dirty ol’ uncle says anyway.

  11. sloth says:

    Hate to nitpick, but the first line is a bit misleading; it says Team GB won 2-0 and put on a dominant display of football. That seems inaccurate to me.

  12. Nuno says:

    @None
    He didn’t have to go down. It was acceptable it he went down and got up to resume play. It is not acceptable he stayed down like someone ripped the skin off his neck.
    Unless he had jet lag and needed a nap. Yes, that’s probably it, he just needed to sleep a bit, the physio just went there to wake him up and tell there was a football match going on.
