There’s no easy way to break this news so Pies are just going to come right out and say it: Vicente Del Bosque has shaved off his luxurious moustache.

‘El Bigoton’ (The Big Moustache) has been an integral part of the Del Bosque aesthetic since he first committed to growing it back in 1974, during his playing days at Real Madrid.

The facial thicket has been a constant companion ever since, with the pair winning seven La Liga titles, four Copa del Reys, two Champions Leagues, one European Championship and one World Cup together as both player and manager.
