“Say ‘cheese’! Now, don’t move a muscle for the next ten minutes…”

On Sunday, November 6th 1887, eight men gathered in the meeting hall of St Mary’s Church in the East End of Glasgow and, by hook or by crook, Celtic Football Club was born with the intention of raising money to help alleviate childhood poverty in the local area.

To mark their 125th year of existence, Nike and Celtic have cobbled together a bobby dazzler of an anniversary kit to honour the occasion – a direct homage to the very first kit the club wore (including a rejigged replica of Celtic’s first ever club crest – the Celtic cross) when they turned out for their very first game against dear local chums Rangers in May 1888.

They’ve also roped Billy Connolly in to narrate the launch video…

Not bad. Love that crest. What do we think Pies fan? Yay or nay?
