These ‘ere are the new Puma Kings, to be worn for the first time by Yaya Toure, Mikel Arteta and Michael Carrick in the Premier League today…

Nope. Puma King’s should be monochrome (with trace flecks of gold) and look like they could survive a nuclear apocalypse if asked. This just ain’t right.

All part of the slow homogenisation of the ‘classic’ boot designs into the gaudy, lightweight, flaky, plastic-y nonsense that parade as ‘elite’ boots these days – or maybe we’re thinking too hard? Gosh, what are we REALLY angry about?

What the hell is this? Its a disgrace.

Oh my God, yellow Puma Kings, the end is nigh….
The standard black and white jobs would slip under the radar whereas the outrage from these eye cathers will ensure we’re all primed for the classic colourway. Clever marketing from Puma.

Typical for Puma – ugly and boring.

I’ve always been annoyed at Puma’s need to constantly ‘update’ the Puma King. A classic boot alongside the Adidas Copa Mundial worn by Pele, Maradona and Cryuff, why are they trying to fuck things up for themselves so much?
