Edinson Cavani has made a decent enough start to his PSG career with a couple of goals to his name so far but his simple gesture after last night’s Ligue 1 tie against Bordeaux is likely to warm more fans to him than a smattering of goals ever could.

Roughly an hour before the game, Cavani promised to hand over his shirt to a disabled fan behind the dugout and, after the final whistle, the Uruguayan striker duly lived up to his word…

Yes, you could argue that it wasn’t much skin off Cavani’s nose, but it’s always nice to see a little bit of benevolent fan interaction. Cavani just made that guy’s day by showing just a trace of human feeling – something that’s all-too rare in football these days.
