Having absorbed Warrior into their fold, New Balance are currently in the midst of gearing up for their first ever assault on the football boot market.
As such, the brand – beloved of hipster sneaker buffs the world over – have produced their maiden boot lines: the new Furon and Visaro.
These be those, respectively…
The Furon represents New Balance’s take on the lightweight ‘speed boot’, designed to allow explosive acceleration and maximum manoeuvrability for nippy wingers, strikers and the like.
They also have something called a ‘burrito-style tongue’, which is supposedly designed to maximise the sweet spot somehow…
The Visaro is designed for those players who make chances rather than take them, and is therefore more sturdy and rugged.
Watch out for the ‘medial pivot zone’ on the sole to aid with those ‘supremely quick turns’…
Both the Furon and Visaro will be worn by all of your favourites stars, with Aaron Ramsey, Marouane Fellaini, Vincent Kompany, Jesus Navas, Adnan Januzaj and Samir Nasri all signing up to debut New Balance’s wares as of next season…
