Kawasaki’s new kit, as seen from the Frontale and the Backtale

Having opened a brand new Main Stand at their stadium earlier in the year, Japanese side Kawasaki Frontale are now planning to wear a special commemorative kit to honour it – that’s how proud they are of their handiwork!

Frontale will wear the special kit during three of their upcoming J-League 1 summer fixtures, with a limited run of 1,000 shirts also going on sale via the club’s online store at 13,824 yen (approx £70) a pop.

Across the chest of the shirt is a line drawing of the new main stand as seen from the top of the stadium…

The back, meanwhile, features  a cross-section of the architectural blueprints…

…which we thought was rather cool, no?

As they always say: If you’re proud of your new stand, don’t be shy in letting the world know about it!

One thousand doumo arigatous go to Pies’ unofficial J-League expert Dan Orlowitz (@aishiterutokyo) for the assist on this one.

Not a patch on their regular 2015 shirt. Still the best new shirt of the year by a mile.
