Like many a new coach before him, newly-appointed Stuttgart boss Alexander Zorniger has attempted to stamp his authority by clamping down on a few of the looser aspects of his players’ conduct and discipline.

As such, Zorniger has forbid forbidded forbade forbaden banned his players from wearing their headphones in public – though he has done so for the oddest of reasons.

“The players are allowed to wear headphones on the team bus, but not in public,” the Stuttgart coach told SportBILD.

“There’s a visual reason for this – a 5’5″ small player looks ridiculous when the headphones are as large as the whole head”.

You know what, the man might just have a point…

If everyone did this Beats by Dre might actually have to put some money into making a decent product.

@Bob: Those headphones are sold on the premise that they give you status.

…the status being that you are a gullible sheep who has no idea about decent sound quality.

“Hey, they have REAL LOUD BASS DUDE”

And if that’s your criteria for headphones, then fill yer boots.

I actually feel pity upon people who I see wearing them, as I know how much they’ve spent on things that are only really worth a quarter of the retail price.
