Following Nike’s lead, Adidas have unleashed their take on the whole ankle-high ‘NFL-style cleat’ design fad with the new ACE 16+ Purecontrol.
Soon to be adorning the feet of the likes of Mesut Özil, Ivan Rakitic and Oscar, the ACE 16+ is a demure, understated neon green effort with an even brighter green metallic sole plate.
They’re also knitted and don’t have laces. Basically, it’s some kind of alien sock…
