What you’re looking at their is the special, one-off kit that West Ham will be wearing when they take on Juventus in their first game at the Olympic Stadium this weekend.

The natty navy blue commemorative strip is inspired by that worn by the amateur club from which West Ham sprung 116 years ago, namely Thames Ironworks FC.

To celebrate their industrial working-class roots, the Hammers decided to first tease the kit by having several of their players dress up like extras from a new West End production of ‘Flashdance’ (many thanks to Spurred On for that particular joke)…

Mark Noble in his element there.

Any road up, the new Thames Ironworks kit is available now while stocks last and will set you back a mere £55 for the shirt alone.

West Ham have also semi-confirmed that the kit will feature in their FA Cup run at some point this coming season, though they can’t be any more specific than that for reasons unbeknownst to us.
