Southampton’s new kits for the 2017/18 season have leaked out all over the place and, my oh my, are they things of beauty.

The home shirt is especially fabulous – predominantly red with a central white panel and embroidered bar cuffs, it could have easily been worn by Kevin Keegan and co. in the early 1980s…

It’s rare to see a sponsor’s logo actually complimenting a kit these days, rather than detracting from the overall design.

To that end, the Virgin Mobile marque looks tailor-made for the Saints’ new togs.

The away kit ain’t half shabby either…

What’s the verdict Pies fans?

Personally speaking, we bloody love it/them.

This is really, really nice. Who’s the manufacturer? I’m not familiar with that badge.

Not having Chevrolet as the sponsor helps as well….

@Bruno: It’s Under Armour, who also produced Tottenham’s kit this season among others.

  2. Archer says:

Thumbs up to these – UA tend to make a decent kit; Spurs have had ok ones the past few years.

Is it me, or do all the Soton players in the picture look about 4ft?

    • EdinburghSaint says:

Lawrie Mac was a big, tall former Guardsman so everyone looked small compared to him. Neither Alan Ball nor Kevin Keegan were the tallest either.

But going onto the main point – it is a beautiful version of my favourite kit. And the majority of other Saints fans think likewise.
