Comme Ci, Comme Ça: France’s New 2018 World Cup Kits Are Okay, Nothing Special (Photos)

Nike have released the capsule of kits France will be wearing at the World Cup this summer and you know what? They’re okay. Nothing special. Nothing to write home about.

Oh, who are we kidding. They’re all hopelessly elegant, effortlessly stylish and achingly cool – just like every other France kit…

The home shirt is a dreamscape in Bleu, complete with ‘Flyknit-style’ sleeves and a lovely tricolore ribbon on the back of the neck.

The away shirt is drenched in white, but with a subtle red and blue “hyper-speckle knit” running through it.

The warm-up shirt is a variation on the iconic ‘Mariniere’ blue and white stripe motif.

One other small detail of note is that, when the French team lines up to sing Le Marseillaise before matches, their kits – blue shirt, white shorts, red socks – will resemble a giant French flag.

It’s enough to make you malade.
