A player known for his spectacular goals rather his right hook, Balon D’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo rather lost the run of himself against Cordoba on Saturday.

Ronaldo was sent off late on for striking one and kicking another opposition player as the Portuguese superstar lost control of himself. Although he did make sure the badge on his shirt was unblemished as he headed for an early bath. Interestingly, it was the 29-year-old’s ninth career red, which is quite a haul!

Despite losing their star player, Los Merengues  did still win the game, with goals from Karim Benzema and a late penalty from Gareth Bale securing the comeback win (Cordoba had scored after three minutes). Oh, and after the game, Ronaldo did post this apology on Twitter – “I apologise to everyone and especially to Edimar for my thoughtless acts in today’s match.”

  1. Cosa says:

Ronaldo shouldn’t do that shit, but the defender should be fined for that hilarious dive.
