Full-back Serge Aurier took no part in PSG’s 2-1 Champions League win against Chelsea on Tuesday evening after being suspended by his club over his now infamous slagging off of coach Laurent Blanc and team-mates on social media. However, according to Canal+, the Ligue 1 giants have now decided on what the player’s punishment should be for the rest of the season.

According to the reports, the Ivorian defender has been given a €180k fine, which doesn’t seem that much for such a highly-paid player, does it? However, on the top of that monetary inconvenience, Aurier has also been banished to the reserves until the end of the current campaign.

One imagines that PSG will look to offload the 23-year-old in the summer, as surely there’s no way back for him at the club. The big eejit.

    Hi chris,

google, “NPL club Gold Coast City”. You need to publish the story of this amazing comeback from 6-1 down on 70 minutes to winning 8-6!

According to L’equipe, the 180K€ was actually not a fine but was rather a ethical bonus, that every PSG player has in his contract. For instance, Thiago Silva’s bonus is about 420K€.
Therefore, he just lost that bonus, and that seems perfectly normal, but was not fined.

Just sack him. That’s what would happen in any normal job if you slandered your colleagues & boss.
