It’s fair to say that Bayern Munich have waltzed their way to a 23rd Bundesliga title this season, finishing up a good 25 points clear of second-placed Dortmund and losing but one solitary game on the way.

The rollicking Rotens have sent domestic record after domestic record tumbling in 2012/13 (many of which were set by Dortmund last year) and the list really is rather impressive – though don’t just take our word for it, have a gander yourselves…

– Most total points: 91 (previously 81, set by Dortmund in 2011/12)
– Biggest lead over the team in second: 25 points (previously 16, set by Bayern in 2002/03)
– Earliest and fastest title triumph: both in terms of matchdays (28 / previously: 30, set by Bayern in 1972/73 and 2002/03) and the date (6th April / previously: 18th April, FC Köln in 1963/64)
– Top of the table for all 34 completed matchdays (equaling Bayern in 1968/69, 1972/73, 1984/85 and 2007/08)
– Most wins in a season: 29 (previously: 25, Dortmund in 2011/12 and Bayern in 1972/73)
– Longest winning streak within a season: 14 wins (previously: 10, Mönchengladbach in 1986/87 and Wolfsburg in 2008/09)
– Fewest defeats (1, same as Bayern in 1986/87)
– Fewest goals against: 18 (previously: 21, Bayern in 2007/08)
– Most matches without conceding a goal in a season: 21 (previously: 19, Bremen in 1987/88 and Bayern in 2001/02)
– At least one goal in every match (as achieved by Köln in 1963/64)
– Longest scoring run (with season overlap): 36 matches in a row (equaling Bayern between 1973 and 1974)
– Best goal difference: +80 (previously: +64, Bayern in 1972/73)
– Most away wins: 15 (previously: 11, Dortmund in 2011/12, Bremen in 2003/04)
– Fewest away defeats: 0 (equaling Bayern in 1986/87)
– Most points away from home: 47 (previously: 37, Dortmund in 2011/12, Bremen in 2003/04)
– Longest winning streak away from home: 9 (previously: 8, Dortmund in 2010/11)
– Fewest away goals conceded: 7 (previously: 10, Bremen in 1987/88)
– Best goal difference after the first half of a season: +37 (previously: +33, Bayern in 2011/12)
– Fewest goals against in the first half of a season: 7 (level with Stuttgart, 2003/04)
– Fewest away goals against in the first half of a season: 1 (previously 2, Stuttgart in 2003/04)
– First five away matches of a season without conceding a goal
– Best start to a season: 8 wins (previously: 7 wins, Bayern in 1995/96, Kaiserslautern in 2001/02, Mainz in 2010/11)
– Best second half of a season: 49 points (previously: 47, Dortmund in 2011/12)
– Best start to the second half of a season: 14 wins (previously: 7, Dortmund in 2011/12)

We make that a count of 24 Bundesliga records either bettered or at least equaled. Pep’s sure got a tough act to follow!
