HEROES
Sebastian Larsson His stunning late winner gave Alex McLeish victory against Tottenham in his first match as Birmingham City gaffer.
Anthony Stokes Popped up with a late winner for Sunderland at home to Derby (ie. the easiest game you’re going to get all season).
David Bentley His brace turned Blackburn’s match against Newcastle.
VILLAINS
Titus Bramble Oh Titus, when will you ever learn? Let another blunder from Bramble. His clearance cleared a full 2cm to allow Geovanni to score 30 secs into Wigan’s draw with Manchester City.
Ibrahima Sonko Was determined to find a team-mate to knock seven bells out of to make-up for his error in failing to clear a cross against Middlesbrough.
Phil Dowd Any referee who has to consult with Uriah Rennie before sending someone off is a villain in our book!

Keane should definitely not have been sent off and I think the red card will be rescinded. But the Fa need to do something about consistency between referees – how come Anelka wasn’t sent off for his vicious and deliberate foul?

  2. xorg says:

Err sorry. It was Diouf not Anelka!

  3. CescIsBest says:

To be honest I don’t actually think Phil Dowd consulted Uriah Rennie. Yes I know he was seen talking to him via his headset but I think that Rennie has gone to him ‘What you gonna do’? and Dowd has responded with ‘Im gonna send him off’ cause I clearly thought I saw Dowd say the above response

Great spot, jamessco. Hadn’t realised that.
