As is seemingly par for the course these days, Adam Lallana has taken out a full page in the Southern Daily Echo today to thank Southampton fans for providing him with 14 year’s worth of unforgettable memories after leaving for Liverpool yesterday…
We know it’s a perfectly well-meaning gesture and all, but does anyone else out there think these things are getting just a bit…well, trite?
They always feel like public apologies rather than thank-yous.
