There we were, busy painstakingly compiling a season-by-season photographic retrospective appraisal of Steven Gerrard’s 17-year hair portfolio only for the bloody BBC to go and steal our thunder by cobbling this little beauty together…

Steven Gerrard: 17 seasons, one sensible haircut. Immaculate.

You just can’t buy consistency like that. What a legacy.

The man has Javier Zanetti-esque follicular diversity…

Didn’t even shift his parting once for a laugh. Legend.

He really let himself go in 2001-2002

  3. Ron says:

I’m not going to complain. It’s better that the poor Dust Bowl era kid ‘do Messi had in the 1st leg last week, the roadkill ‘do of Neymar, or any of the stupid haircuts out of many, many players, like the Juventus striker with the mohawks and other assorted bad ‘dos.

Nothing wrong with letting your play, and your looks, speak for themselves. Fashion these days, from pro athletes to the dude next to you on the bus, seems to be about looking at stupid as possible.
