Liverpool moved into the top four after a superb, energetic display against Hull at Anfield on Saturday, which saw Jurgen Klopp’s in-form side bulldoze Hull 5-1.
Adam Lallana put the Reds 1-0 up before, on the half-hour, James Milner had a chance to double Liverpool’s advantage from the penalty spot, after Ahmed Elmohamady had handled in the box. Klopp, however, couldn’t watch the spot-kick, with the German turning his back on the drama.
Milner did convert the penalty, but the sight of Klopp, with his back to action and with his gaze firmly on the ground, is rather endearing…

Surely even the most ardent Man Utd fan has a soft spot for Klopp?!
Goals from Sadio Mané, Philippe Coutinho and Milner (with another penalty kick) ultimately gave Liverpool an impressive 5-1 win (David Meyler scored for the Tigers), with the Merseysiders starting to look like genuine title contenders.
As for Mike Phelan and Hull, after winning their opening two league games of the season, they’ve now lost three and drawn one of their last four, with a season battling relegation looking more and more likely.
