With Barcelona said to be sniffing around, Liverpool have gone and cinched up Philippe Coutinho to a meaty new contract.

According to James Pearce of the Liverpool Echo, there is no release clause inserted into Coutinho’s new deal.
All in all, it’s fairly reminiscent of the time Luis Suarez signed an enormous new long-term contract at Liverpool, roughly six months before he left for Barcelona for a freshly re-inflated fee.
