The airing of DIY banners has become something of a tradition among Liverpool fans over the years, with bed sheets being commandeered and slogans being painted up left, right and centre.

With a Champions League final on the cards, the Merseyside banner cottage industry has hit full chat, with droves of homemade efforts being flaunted on social media ahead of the big game in Kiev.

Being the decent souls we are, Pies have rounded up a tensome of our favourites which will soon be seen draped over the perimeter walls at the Olimpiyskiy Stadium on Saturday night.

We’ll kick off with the best banner we’ve seen so far – a stamp-based tribute to Mohamed Salah that actually looks like some time, thought and effort has gone into it.
