Neymar was at his infuriating best as PSG saw off Liverpool in the Champions League at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday evening.
As ever, the Brazilian produced a maddening mixture of dazzling skill, vainglorious posturing, feigning, preening, scoring; the full kit and caboodle.
Indeed, it was Neymar who notched what proved to be PSG’s winning goal in the 34th minute, tucking a neat finish to cap Kylian Mbappe’s warp speed counter-attack.
Not sure if you’ve noticed, but this Mbappe lad is rather quick across the ground. Like a ferret up a trouser leg.
Anyway, Neymar also conspired to make a rather embarrassing cock-up of a pass from Presnel Kimpembe after selecting the absolute worst time to turn his back and wave to the crowd…
Neymar picks the very worst time to get the crowd pumped up 😂

Perhaps worth noting at this juncture that, as part of the recent spate of Football Leaks, Neymar was alleged to have a “ethical clause” in his PSG contract that entitles him to a €375,000 bonus for interacting with fans by applauding or gesturing toward them.
Hmmm.
