With new-boys Stefan Jovetic, Jesus Navas and Fernandinho all starting, Manchester City put five past AC Milan in a thrilling Audi Cup game in Munich.
The Citizens blew the Serie A giants away in the first-half, going 5-0 up by the 36th minute courtesy of goals from David Silva, Micah Richards, Aleksandar Kolarov and Edin Dzeko (with a brace). The Italians did their best to get themselves back into the game, scoring courtesy of two from Stephan El Shaaraway and a strike from Andrea Petagna but it was too little too late.
With Jesus Navas in particular impressing in Munich, Manuel Pellegrini will no doubt be looking forward to the start of the new season.
