Nothing sparks a good old debate like a team of year, and in this case, the esteemed French newspaper L’Equipe has produced their own best 11 of the year, with five Bayern Munich players making the cut. The Premier League only sees two entries, courtesy of Man City stars Vincent Kompany and Yaya Touré.
The most contentious choice must be Thomas Muller, Bayern’s attacker who is comfortable in any position across the front three or indeed, behind the striker. No doubt many of you will argue for Luis Suarez to get in ahead of the German, or maybe Ibrahimovic?
As for the rest of the team, it’s pretty decent. So what do you geniuses think?
