“This is a Babyliss Pro – don’t make me turn her up to 11…”

Interesting interview with Nani in today’s Current Bun, in which the Thriller-era Jacko lookalike gives Fergie every excuse to ship him off to Spain in January. The winger also reveals that no one at Old Trafford escapes the sweary blast of the Scottish gaffer’s infamous hairdryer:

“Ferguson is a very complicated man. He’s tough. If things are all right, then they are all right. But when he thinks something is wrong, everything is screwed.

“He can go from complimenting you to just plain trashing you in a matter of minutes. Has it happened to me? Hell, yes! He’ll say ‘Nani, how could you miss this or this?’

“He shouts at players in front of everyone. No one escapes, everybody is the same. Giggs and (Gary) Neville suffer most, because they have more experience. It is ‘F**k’ here and ‘F**k’ there.”

The bit about Giggs and Neville caught my eye – Fergie really does live by the cliche ‘You’re only as good as your next game.’ The fact that United’s boss still applies it to Premier League legends like Giggs and G-Nev shows why he’s been so successful.

As for Nani (who yesterday made our Flops of the Season XI), everything really is screwed – his time at United is surely up. If Fergie is willing to ditch brilliant players who speak out of turn (Stam, Ince, Beckham), surely he’ll have no qualms about shipping an underperforming seal like Nani off to La Liga – if not in January, then almost certainly at the end of the season.

Where do you think Nani will end up? Or do you think Ferguson is mad enough to keep him?
