Is Javier Mascherano the new Roy Keane?

Mascherano
Funny, I was going to suggest yesterday that Fergie should take a good look at Javier Mascherano, as a potential Roy Keane replacement. And now, it seems, he is.

Argentina’s defensive midfielder had a terrific World Cup and at 22 he can only get better. He’s a lot quieter than Keane, but I think he’s the ideal man to add some much-needed steel to Man U’s midfield. His current club, Corinthians, want £25m for him (unrealistic), but it’s reported that Fergie will initially offer around £16m and take it from there.
