Poor old David Moyes. Faced with the impossible task of filling Fergie’s shoes, his first season in charge has gone pretty awfully so far. However, seeing his side dumped out of the League Cup by Sunderland at Old Trafford is surely a new low for the former Everton boss in what has been a season with far too few highs. One imagines he’ll need more than one Juan Mata to get the Old Trafford faithful believing again. Enjoy (or not if you’re a Man Utd fan) this Hamlet cigar moment, which actually happened after David De Gea’s gaff which let in Phil Bardsley’s goal!

That right there is how murders happen.

I suppose it’s his fault De Gea pulled a Massimo Taibi, or his players missed 4 out of 5 penalties?

Dark times now, but building for a new future.

    IN MOYES WE TRUST

No doubt Scholes retiring was always going to make a fair difference. Very evident when Man City won the title, you could argue it was his leadership on the field which was more crucial than Sir Alex or just as important.

Then there is Rooney and RVP sitting the physio room for a while ….it shows on the table.

Moyes is an excellent manager, as he showed with less money and squad power at Everton. But you can only do so much.

Interesting though, how does Man Utd move forward from this.

    More like David RUBBISH!

  6. bestie says:

hang me for blasphemy, but SAF isn’t blameless: over the past 2-3 years, Vidic, Rio, Evra, Giggs, Scholes all got well past their expiration dates, and the players he brought on as replacements are simply either not enough or still work-in-progress

  7. Kingsland101 says:

I think that was a more a sigh of relief that they wouldn’t have to get absolutely humiliated by City in the final

Oh, Carl! I giggled like a schoolgirl!
