West Ham United 1-1 Manchester United – Premier League – 8th February 2015
A late, late volley from Daley Blind secured a point for Manchester United in a game where West Ham were better for long periods.
The Hammers started superbly with the visitors struggling to create much in way of a goal threat. Both Enner Valencia and James Tomkins went close for the hosts before the deadlock was eventually broken on 49 minutes. Cheikhou Kouyate was the goal-hero for Sam Allardyce’s side, producing a fantastic volley after a Mark Noble free-kick. That superb strike looked like securing a deserved win for the east Londoners, however at the death, Blind fired home from an Angel Di Maria centre to level the scores. And there was still time for Luke Shaw to receive his marching orders for a second yellow. Proper late drama!
