Transfer Balls: Rounding up the day’s football tittle-tattle so you don’t have to…

Pedro Prepped For Chelsea

Chelsea will wrap up the signing of Pedro next week, according to the Star. The Barcelona winger has struggled for game time behind the Messi-Suarez-Neymar forward line and is now looking for a move away from the Nou Camp.

The 27-year-old has also been eyed by both Arsenal and Chelsea, but the Blues now look set to get their man for a fee of around £22million.

Di Maria Destined For PSG

While a whole host of big names are moving to Old Trafford this summer, Angel Di Maria looks set to leave Manchester United after just one season. The Independent (via L’Equipe) reports that the Argentine winger is on the verge of a £43million move to PSG.

The French giants tried to sign the 27-year-old last season but were hamstrung by FFP regulations. However, after enduring a patchy first season in England, Di Maria could well be on his way to the French capital.

Campbell On Cusp Of Sociedad Move

Joel Campbell’s disappointing Arsenal career looks to be coming to an end, with Real Sociedad keen on snapping up the Costa Rican attacker. According to the Mirror, Sociedad boss David Moyes is a fan of the 23-year-old who has spent most of his career with the Gunners on loan, including a couple of successful spells in Spain with Real Betis and Villarreal.

Sociedad are willing to cough up £6million for the player who looks unlikely to progress his career at the Emirates, although Benfica are also thought to be interested in the forward.

Ghoulam Going To Gunners

While Joel Campbell may be leaving Arsenal, Faouzi Ghoulam could be on his way to the Emirates. The Mirror (via Mediaset) claims that the Gunners have lodged a £10million bid for the 6’2″ Napoli left-back, who has impressed in Serie A since his move from Saint-Etienne in 2014.

The 24-year-old Algerian international is a fine talent, full of marauding runs and pinpoint crosses. However, with Nacho Monreal and Kieran Gibbs already battling it out for the left-back berth at Arsenal, this all seems very unlikely.

McCarthy Moving To Man City

The Express tells us that Manchester City have set their sights on James McCarthy after failing to lure Fabian Delph to the Etihad. Everton midfielder McCarthy has been a star of Roberto Martinez’s Toffees and his all-action performances in the heart of midfield have piqued the interest of Manuel Pellegrini.

The 24-year-old Republic of Ireland star is apparently happy at Goodison Park but a big money offer from the Citizens could test both the resolve of the player and of Everton themselves.
