Man City Go All In For Kevin De Bruyne

Manchester City have bid £47million for Wolfsburg winger Kevin De Bruyne, 24, writes the Guardian. The Daily Mirror says the former Chelsea player and Belgium international will see the cash and demand to leave the Bundesliga side.

David De Gea Goes…Nowhere

Real Madrid have offered a “final” £21.2million bid for Manchester United’s Spain goalkeeper David De Gea, 24, reports the Daily Star. The BBC says United “expect De Gea to stay at Old Trafford”. Indeed, he’s in the United squad for the two-legged Champions League play-off against Belgium’s Club Brugge this month. If De Gea plays then he can’t play for another club in the competition. Who will blink first?

The best/worst of the rest:

Spurs are looking for a new striker. Manchester United’s Javier Hernandez, 27, and West Brom’s Saido Berahino, 21, are both under consideration, writes the London Evening Standard . But surely Tottenham need pace up front.

The Daily Telegraph says the Lilywhites are also after 21-year-old Cameroon striker Clinton N’Jie from Lyon. And if three strikers are not enough, the Daily Mirror says Spurs will sign FC Basel’s 18-year-old Swiss striker Breel Embolo for £10million.

Metro claim Manchester United defender Jonny Evans, 27, is off to Everton.

And The Express hears Schalke general manager Horst Heldt says that Julian Draxler will only join Arsenal if the Gunners make “a huge offer”. Hint hint.
