Dick Advocaat Explains THAT Classic Photo Of Himself, Louis Van Gaal And Two Young Ladies Wearing Nowt But Body Paint

With Dick Advocaat’s Sunderland squaring off against Louis van Gaal’s Manchester United in the Premier League today, the opportunity has been seized to once again circulate what must surely rank as one of the most iconic sporting images of our time.

The photo you see above you of Advocaat and Van Gaal squatting coyly beside a pair of scantily clad ladies was taken as part of a promo set for the Eredivisie clash between PSV and Ajax in 1995.

Advocaat was asked to explain just how the timeless image came about during his Friday press conference, to which the Black Cats boss replied:

It was PSV versus Ajax, I believe. We were quite surprised when we came in. I can remember it.

They were already painted unfortunately.

Of course the most alarming thing about the photo is not the awkward tension or even Van Gaal’s roaming hover hands – it’s Advocaat’s truly horrendous hairline…
