Still on the long and rocky road to recovery after suffering a leg break against PSV back at the start of the season, Manchester United’s Luke Shaw has offered his support to Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma after the French youngster picked up what could be a season-ended injury on Sunday.

Playing against the Red Devils at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, the 21-year Zouma fell extremely awkwardly after an acrobatic clearance, with his right knee bearing the brunt of the impact. You can watch the horror fall here if you wish (it’s rather horrid so beware!)…

Zouma was duly stretchered off the pitch and the exact details of the injury won’t be known until he undergoes an MRI scan in hospital on Monday. However, it’s not looking good for the Chelsea star who has nudged both John Terry and Gary Cahill out of the Blues’ starting 11 at various times this season. Anyway, after seeing the incident, United full-back Shaw Tweeted this lovely message…

Let’s hope Zouma’s injury is not as bad as it looks while Shaw is back in action ASAP.

As for the game itself, Jesse Lingard’s superb strike on 61 minutes looked to have sealed all three points for the Red Devils, before Diego Costa nabbed a point for the Blues at the death. So United find themselves six points off fourth spot (and 12 behind leaders Leicester) while Chelsea are a whopping 17 points off the top four, leaving that dream dead and buried.
