The Arsenal winger revealed that whilst on duty for England at the 2006 World Cup, Wayne Rooney once lost a game of snooker and was so annoyed that he broke his cue. [Via Sport]

Stoke defender Abdoulaye Faye (for my money, one of the scariest players in the Premier League) has been accused of punching team-mate Glenn Whelan in the face after Sunday’s pathetic capitulation at Chelsea. Whelan reportedly upbraided Faye for wearing flip-flops in a warm-up session before the match, and it all went downhill from there, leading to an alleged smack in the face for the Irishman. This isn’t the first time this season that Stoke have been involved in an in-house bust-up – remember Tony Pulis and James Beattie? [Via Guardian]
