Romelu Lukaku bagged a brace on his Premier League debut for Manchester United on Sunday, as the Red Devils cruised to an impressive 4-0 win at home to West Ham.
United dominated the encounter and took the lead just after the half-hour mark, with Lukaku firing in off the frame of the goal from a Marcus Rashford pass.
Soon after the break, the Belgian hitman made it 2-0, this time heading in from a Henrikh Mkhitaryan free-kick.

Ex-Chelsea man Nemanja Matic was outstanding in midfield, protecting the back four and kickstarting the Red Devils’ forward play throughout the game.
The Hammers rarely threatened David De Gea’s goal, with ex-United striker Javier Hernandez a peripheral figure. Although another new-signing, Marko Arnautovic, did head onto the top of the United crossbar.
United almost made it 3-0, only for Rashford’s curling effort to come back off the post.
However, late on the Red Devils got a deserved third, with sub Anthony Martial firing home.
There was still time for another United goal, with Paul Pogba curling in a fine effort from outside the box.
The win sees United finish the opening weekend top of the table, with Jose Mourinho’s side already looking like serious title contenders.
As for Slaven Bilic’s West Ham, while they won’t endure many more difficult trips this season, they’ll still be disappointed by a rather toothless display.
