Manchester United will play Tottenham in what should be a cracking FA Cup semi-final at Wembley, with Chelsea facing Southampton in the other tie.
With Man Utd, Spurs and Chelsea all dumped out of the Champions League at the Last 16 stage and blown out of the water by Manchester City in the league, the FA Cup is a last chance for silverware for the three heavyweight sides.
Mauricio Pochettino will be particularly eager to end Tottenham’s trophy drought, which stretches all the way back to 2008.
After an underwhelming season at Old Trafford, Jose Mourinho will still be looking to win his third major trophy in two season with the Red Devils, while Chelsea’s Antonio Conte will want to finish his disappointing season on a high.
That leaves Southampton, with new boss Mark Hughes, fresh from seeing his side beat Wigan 2-0 in the quarter-finals, under by far the least pressure to make it to the final. However, that may well work in his and Saints’ favour.
The games will take place at Wembley on the weekend of 21-22 April.
