Lasagne Diarra, delicious with a cheeky glass of Merlot

A new rumour in heaven tonight: Man Utd want to sign Real Madrid midfielder Lassana Diarra (@ Mirror).

This one actually makes sense, as with Sami Khedira now installed at the Bernabeu, you imagine Diarra’s first-team chances will be strictly limited this season. Real would probably accept a bid of around £12-15m for the Frenchman, who is still only 25 but very experienced for his years.

Whilst he’s clearly not the most loyal of players, I rate Lass highly and he’d certainly be a good addition to United’s squad, especially as poor Owen Hargreaves will never, ever be fit again.

You fancy a hot helping of Lasagne, United fans?

    “Lasagne Diarrhoea”-Should go to Tottenham

  3. Waldemar says:

I’d really like to see this happen. He’s lack of attacking skills has harmed Real Madrid too often!

  4. Tatum says:

Nope. I want Fergie to make a serious bid for Ozil, and then we’ll talk about others!

  5. Mojo says:

yeah Ozil> Lass… But A strong defensive player would certainly strengthen United. Lass has shown some dominating defensive performances in the last few years in a league with the most skilled dribblers in the world. Even though he can’t score to save his arse he is a quality player

  6. Troy says:

Real Madrid actually paid 10million for Sami Khedira, so I reckon it would be an idea to offer the same amount to Real for Lassana Diarra. They (Madrid) would look like chumps demanding more than 10mill’ for a player that has been replaced by a player that cost 10mill’. This is a player who would be more than useful, because lets face it, our midfield does look a bit lightweight when Fletcher isn’t around, and having Lass’ on the pitch would give Fletcher some freedom to bomb forward. I must agree with what others are saying here though, our priority must be signing Oezil, a player with such huge potential at a bargain price doesn’t come around often.

get rid of gary neville,, so old and rubish….extremely overrated. darren fletcher promised he’s staying at man united for the rest of his career, he’s got no choice, he’s shite nobody else wants him!

  8. Cassious says:

    alex ferguson should fuck off!
