Another day, another batch of rumours

1. Darren Fletcher & Diego Milito to Everton
Man Utd’s Scottish international and Real Zaragoza’s Argentine striker are high on David Moyes’ wanted list. Andy Johnson could be sold to fund the double deal. [Liverpool Daily Post]
Pies verdict I doubt Fergie will sell Fletcher, but there’s a good chance that Milito, who was relegated with Zaragoza last season, will arrive at Goodison.

2. Hameur Bouazza to Charlton Athletic
Bouazza has emerged as a surprise target for Charlton. The 23-year-old forward has been frozen out by Fulham boss Roy Hodgson, who is keen to overhaul his squad. Bouazza, who joined Fulham from Watford last year, is also wanted by Spanish side Osasuna. [Mail]
Pies verdict It’s clear that Bouazza will struggle to break into Fulham’s first team this campaign; Charlton seem like a good fit.

3. Steve Sidwell to Newcastle Utd
Joey Barton’s future is in doubt as Newcastle line up a £5million bid for Sidwell. Shamed Barton, 25, missed the first day of pre-season training yesterday because of a delay in his early release from a six-month jail sentence for assault. But he may not be needed if boss Kevin Keegan can persuade Chelsea’s Sidwell to forget about Aston Villa and head to Toon. [The Sun]
Pies verdict Nothing more than tabloid guesswork.

4. George Boateng to Celtic
Celtic are trying to hijack Boateng’s switch to Premier League new boys Hull. The Tigers have agreed a £1m fee with Middlesbrough for Boateng, who is surplus to requirements at the Riverside, and have held talks with the 32-year-old midfielder. But now Celtic are making a late bid for the Dutchman who is also being eyed up by Fulham. The Scottish champions hope to lure him north of the border with the promise of Champions League football. [Mirror]
Pies verdict I still think he’ll end up at Hull.

5. Peter Crouch to Portsmouth
Crouch’s future at Liverpool looks to be coming to an end after the club gave Pompey permission to open talks with the England international. The south coast club have previously had one bid – believed to be £9m – turned down but Liverpool said today that they had reached an agreement, believed to be in the region of £11m, with their Premier League rivals, paving the way for negotiations between Portsmouth and their former player. [Telegraph]
Pies verdict Seems 95% certain that Crouchy is on his way back to Pompey.

6. Frank Lampard NOT to Inter
Chelsea have rejected Inter Milan’s approach for F-Wank just hours before they are set to officially unveil Luiz Felipe Scolari. Scolari was thought to be gearing up to hold one-to-one talks with Lampard over his future tomorrow but the club have indicated their desire to keep hold of the 30-year-old this summer. Chelsea revealed on their official website that they “will not enter into negotiations” with the Italian giants over Lampard, who has one year left to run on his contract. [Telegraph]
Pies verdict Toss a coin.
