49719.jpgI first became aware of Jefferson Farfan via Pro Evolution Soccer, the greatest video game series in history. In the PES series, he’s a seriously fast, seriously talented striker, who improves in leaps and bounds if you develop him in your Master League team. Now 22, this is Farfan’s fourth season at PSV. He has scored almost 50 goals for the club in that time, not a bad return for a player who has been played on the wing as well as up front.
Farfan is a brilliant dribbler and a fine finisher, not unlike a young Thierry Henry. All of Europe’s big clubs have been aware of him for some time and it surely won’t be long before he earns a move away from Holland, probably to the English Premiership – Newcastle were reportedly interested in buying him last summer, but he since signed a contract extension at PSV which is set to keep him at the club until 2010. However, I could see him ending up at Arsenal in the next couple of seasons. His style of play would suit the Gunners.

  1. Joe says:

Good call on Farfan, already a legend at PSV. Is the spitting image of Bubba from Forrest Gump as well.

  2. T. says:

But he hasn’t scored in the Champions League this season.
