ADO Den Haag fans are being actively encouraged to pelt their opposing fans from the upper tiers when their side travels to take on Feyenoord in the Eredivisie this coming weekend.

According to Goal, the away fans are being asked to take cuddly toys with them to the game and throw them down to a group of patients from a local children’s hospital who will be sat in the lower bough of the stand beneath them.

Invited to attend the match as special guests, the kids (from the Sophia Children’s Hospital in Rotterdam) will then catch and keep the toys as donations.

How sweet. Certainly beats a half-eaten chicken tikka pie to the back of the head.
