Some really fine goals to enjoy from this entertaining match, which marked the USA out as genuine contenders for the FIFA U-20 World Cup, currently taking place in Canada. Freddy Adu’s first goal of three was a lovely turn and finish; his second was great too. The boy wonder, hyped for so long as the next big thing in American soccer, looks like he’s found his A game at last…

By the way, Poland kept a clean sheet against Brazil earlier in the tournament, in a 1-0 win, so they’re no slouches. This was a performance to make the football world sit up and take notice.

some notes from the game by the way..
Szetela, who scored twice last night is Polish born, he was about to play for Poland but USA booked him in their national team first. He’s out of contract and linked to join Everton.
Starosta, playing at right back in Polish team, is a new citizen of Poland as he has born in UK, and had grandpa from Poland, that’s the way he got the passport. He is playing for Sheffield Utd. He played damn well against Brazil by stopping their multieuro stars.
Fojut, Bialkowski are playing for Bolton and Southampton currently.
Krychowiak, centre midifield player, is at Bordeaux, scored magic free kick against Brazil, he’s not even 17, but his french coach compares him to Steven Gerrard. But he showed yesterday that he hasstill a lot to learn.
Krol, that one with red card from game against Brazil (from Howard Webb :X) is playing for the second team in Real Madrid actually.
So, they are in some good teams actually, so why the fuck they screwed completly my evening last night in pub?

It’s good to see my Yanks finally live up to all the potential that they have shown, specifically Freddy Adu. The next decade for US Soccer is going to be very, very interesting.

Just a quick note – it will be an interesting decade for US football. Only joking. I was very impressed, great link up play – scary looking inface. Adu was just immense.
