Copa America 2007: USA crash out after defeat to Colombia

Copa America’s invited guests from the North, Team USA, are out of the tournament after their third consecutive defeat. The Americans lost 1-0 against Colombia with Jaime Castrillon scoring the only goal of the game.
[They were already knocked out by the time this game was played – should have taken Landon Donovan to Venezuela! Ed.]

    Disappointing that they didn’t get a point, but the kids got some experience that will hopefully prove useful in the buildup to 2010.
    Oh, yeah, and the US already won the more important trophy, the Gold Cup. Sure, Copa America is more prestigious, but the US were invited. The Gold Cup is the CONCACAF championship, our home region. Therefore, more important. :)
