Macedonia v England: betting guide

1 Macedonia is the only country to lose a
competitive match against Andorra…
2 … but in their last World Cup
qualifying campaign Macedonia held Holland to a 2-2 draw at home.

This will not be another romp for Steve McClaren’s brave new England. I do expect them to win, and win quite comfortably, but only by a two-goal margin. The bets I recommend (odds Paddy Power) are:

England to win 3-1 (9-1)
John Terry to be first goalscorer (14-1)
Peter Crouch to score in 90 mins play (11-10)
Owen Hargreaves to get booked in 90 mins play (9-4)

The last of these bets is particularly tempting – Hargreaves is a tenacious player, prone to mistimed challenges. Plus he will probably get a full 90 minutes. 9-4 sounds good to me.
