While we’ve been moaning the return of the cold weather, a World Cup has been played in the sunshine on the other side of the world. The Beach Football World Cup came to a conclusion in Rio de Janeiro at the weekend.
It may not be football as we know it but the final result isn’t too different with Brazil taking the title by beating New Mexico 8-2 in the final. Star player Buru received the adidas Golden Shoe and Golden Ball for being the tournament’s best player – scoring ten goals and creating three assists.
England didn’t even make the Finals – something to do with our pebbled beaches or shall we blame Arsene Wenger for this one too?

I think it has nothing to do with the pebbled beaches. It’s Wenger’s fault and all of those foreigners that go to England and take jobs from hard working English men who deservedly asked to be paid millions when others who might do a better job for a lot less. Poor England, in no time it will be Wenger’s fault for their lack of good tennis players too. Of course, it has nothing to do with their crappy English managers (both football and tennis – why else would you get foreign managers for the top clubs and for Andy Murray).
You can even blame Wenger and foreigners for the rise of foreclosures while you are at it.
