I can understand why Paul Jewell gambled on the mercurial Frenchman – when he’s good, he’s very, very good. I’ve seen few better left foots in my time. But he’s 32 now and although he can kick a mean dead ball, will he really want to track back and help out when Derby are defending their goal (which, let’s face it, happens quite a lot)? What say you?
