The future of Fernando Torres at Atletico Madrid remains unclear, sparking a lorryload of rumours about which big English/Italian club the coveted Spaniard may go to. The most likely scenario is a move to Old Trafford (to replace Real Madrid-bound Ruud van Nistelrooy), but then which club wouldn’t be keen on a player of Torres’s quality? I still think Newcastle Utd should break the bank for Torres.
Fernando Torres up for sale (probably)! Man Utd to make a massive bid? continued…
Torres’s coach at Atletico, Javier Aguirre, told Spanish sports newspaper Marca: ‘I’ve spoken to Fernando and he hasn’t been able to
guarantee his presence in the team in the forthcoming season… The market is still open and a lot of things can happen,
but it is clear that every day that passes is one day less for
something to occur. What I want to make clear, though, is
that Fernando has a great commitment to the club.’
So that’s nice and clear then…
