Some awfully sad news this afternoon folks.

According to the BBC, two girders buckled and part of a stand at FC Twente’s Grolsch Veste stadium collapsed during redevelopment work this afternoon, killing one person instantly and injuring ‘over a dozen’ more – with three treated at the scene and 10 more rushed to Enschede hospital.

Pies heartily sends out our love and positive thoughts to all involved.

Christ, almighty. That’s a damn shame that the worker was killed. Hopefully those injured will come out of it.
