West Bromwich Albion 0-2 Newcastle United – Premier League – 9th November 2014
Newcastle’s resurgence continued at the Hawthorns on Sunday, with the Magpies securing a deserved 2-0 victory.
England’s new striker, Saido Berahino, went close in the first-half for the hosts. However, it was another in-form attacker, Ayoze Perez, who would finally open the scoring just before the break, courtesy of a superbly taken cheeky back-heel. A second goal came just after the hour-mark when Fabricio Coloccini headed home and that was that, with the Baggies unable to get themselves back into the game.
The Magpies fly up to eighth while Alan Irvine’s West Brom are 13th.
