Having obviously caught wind of FC Cologne’s plan to ply their supporters with 2-for-1 beer after securing their Bundesliga survival, Leicester City fans will no doubt be thrilled to hear that their owners are following suit.

Leicester vice-chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha, who bankrolls the Foxes along with his father Vichai, has announced that every fan attending the final game of the season against QPR at the King Power Stadium will be given a voucher entitling them to a free pint on the house.

“We want to say thank you to our fans for their incredible support this season,” Srivaddhanaprabha the younger told the club’s official website.

“Even during the most difficult times of the season, when everyone thought we had no chance, our loyal fans continued to believe and continued to get behind the team.”

Non-drinkers and designated drivers fear ye not, for the vouchers can also be used to redeem a complimentary bottle of mineral water should you prefer.

Huzzah!
